Maria Vaiedelich explores the subtle relationships between color, light, and space. With a background in architecture from Paris and a degree in visual arts from ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels, she creates site-specific installations and bespoke works where color and light engage in dialogue with architecture. Early in her practice, color asserted itself as her instinctive language - an endless playground for exploration. A formative encounter with artist Daniel Buren opened the path to understanding color as a spatial and visual experience in its own right. At the same time, she began experimenting with light as an immaterial pictorial medium, using it to transform - and thus reveal - the spaces she occupies.

Maria works across multiple media - painting, stained glass, video - designing installations that incorporate colored light projections, gradients, and subtle effects of transparency and reflection. Her years in Stockholm deeply enriched her practice. There, she discovered a vibrant Nordic art, design, and architecture scene - less minimalist than expected, more playful and colorful - which continues to shape her creative universe and aesthetic choices. It was in this context that her CHROMA series emerged, marking a turning point in the evolution of her work.
